Your Crystal Ball for Food
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a crystal ball to tell the future? Maybe-Maybe not. The reality is that when in comes to food in the Columbus Metro area you have a chance to glimpse into the future. The Taste the Future 2009 is coming up and if you would like to see what is in store for you in the coming year you should plan to attend. Check out all the particulars here. The Columbus State Community College will hold its 21st annual culinary showcase; Taste the Future on September 15th at 5:00pm in downtown Columbus at The Columbus State Community College. Over 50 of central Ohio’s best establishments will feature their culinary masterpieces. All proceeds from the event fund scholarships and special projects. Every year the event helps hundreds of students build their future with a college education.
The Pre-Event Party
Crab Stuffed Scallops
The CbusTasters of TasteCasting were invited to a pre event media party at the Elevator Breweryand Draught House. We learned what Taste the Future means to some of those students who benefit. The executive Chief of the Elevator Brewery, Nate Crockett alumni of Columbus State Community College, offered a demo on preparing one of the delights he has in store for everyone at the Taste the Future 2009. He prepared Crab Stuffed Scallops. The Scallops were very large, butterfly cut and filled with a delightful Crab Cake Mix.
