A Unique Experience in Powell, Ohio
The Ahlteens family has created a truly unique venue called Espresso Yourself Music Cafe (EYMC) where you can experience amazing fresh roasted coffee, delicious sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, listen to local and touring musicians and enjoy the works of central Ohio artists.
It’s Worth A Trip To Powell
Espresso Yourself Music Cafe is a central Ohio original, housed in an old church with an acoustic guitar sign attached to the steeple. You can’t miss this place as you drive down Powell Road.

A Tasty Treat
The owner, Eric Ahlteen served up the Judge Powell Panini. It’s made with smoked turkey, chedder, pepperJack, honey mustard, raspberry chipotle sauce, green onion, all on Italian panini bread. I could tell why this was local favorite. It is now my favorite! The sandwich had an incredible taste and just the right amount of kick to it. I was in heaven. You can see the other sandwiches on their menu.
The Music Was A Nice Touch
While were were there we had the great fortune to hear Raina Rose perform songs from album End of Endless False Starts and Rebecca Loebe from the album of the same name. I was lucky enough to buy the albums while there and get my picture taken with the two up and coming folk super stars.

Great Place, Great People, Great Experience.
What a terrific experience. The food, music, and the coffee were all amazing. Thank you Eric for inviting the TasteCasting team in and treating us to great food, personal service, and amazing music. Check out Jim Stevenson live performing “Arcadia Drive” at Espresso Yourself Music Cafe.

Espresso Yourself Music Café, a place where there are no strangers. There are just friends you haven’t met yet. There’s not a bad item on the menu, although the Jazzy Turkey is my favorite. The music is always good, and talk about variety! Tuesday night is Open Mic, and there are always surprises.
